Positive Behaviour Support
We proudly provide Positive Behaviour Support services across New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, and other parts of Australia. Whether you’re in a city, regional area, or remote community, our team is here to support you with flexible, person-centred care.
What is Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is a person-centred approach that focuses on understanding why behaviours occur and helping individuals develop new skills to improve their quality of life. Rather than managing behaviours, PBS looks at the underlying needs behind them.
We aim to reduce behaviours of concern by:
- Understanding triggers
- Teaching positive skills
- Supporting communication
- Creating safer, happier environments
Who Can Benefit From PBS?
Our PBS services support individuals of all ages who may be experiencing behaviours of concern, including:
- Children, adolescents, and adults
- People with autism, intellectual disability, or psychosocial disability
- Individuals at risk of school suspension, placement breakdown, or community exclusion
- Creating safer, happier environments
Our PBS Process
Initial Consultation
We begin by getting to know you and your support team, discussing strengths, challenges, and goals to ensure a person-centred approach from the start.
Behaviour Assessment & Analysis
Our Behaviour Practitioners complete a Functional Behaviour Assessment (FBA) to understand the reasons behind behaviours and identify key triggers and patterns.
Behaviour Support Plan Creation
We develop a tailored Behaviour Support Plan (BSP) with practical strategies to build positive skills, support communication, and reduce behaviours of concern.
Coaching, Monitoring & Review
We support the team to implement the plan through training, regular check-ins, and updates to ensure the approach remains effective over time.
